oatmeal, of the non-instant variety
ground cardamom
ground ginger
raisins
brown rice syrup to drizzle over it
bananas, sliced on top

Heat correct amount of water for your oatmeal, adding 1/8 tsp. per two servings of each spice to it when you begin. Add the raisins at this time too. We use about 1/4 cup per two servings. Then add the oatmeal and cook till done. Delia recommends brown rice syrup over the top - it has a mildly sweet, buttery flavor. Most natural food stores carry it. It is also delicious with sliced banana on top.
